Before booking
1. How old do I have to be to rent a car?
You must be at least 22 years old.
2. How long do I need to have a driving license to rent a car?
You must have held a driving license for at least 12 months.
3. Are the cars insured?
Yes, all cars are fully insured. However, the renter must cover a deductible of 6000 DKK or 2500 DKK for each damage. Premium cars have different deductibles, details can be found in the terms tab.
4. Can I choose insurance with zero liability in the event of a damage?
No, there is no such possibility.
5. When do I have to pay for the reservation?
Payment will be required at the time of booking.
6. When do I need to authorize a deposit?
The deposit will be authorized via a link, usually a few days before arrival.
7. Is there navigation in cars?
Some cars have built-in navigation, please ask after booking to confirm. However, the best option for navigation is to purchase a local SIM card and use your phone/Android Auto as navigation. A local SIM card can be purchased at the airport.
8. Do I need a credit card to authorize a deposit?
No, a debit card will suffice. The card must have 3D Secure enabled.
After making a reservation
1. Will I receive confirmation of my reservation?
Yes, after you pay for your reservation, an automatic confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us.
2. What if my plans/date change?
You can cancel or change the dates of your reservation up to 72 hours before picking up your car.
3. What will the cost be if I cancel my reservation?
You can cancel your reservation up to 72 hours before picking up your car, the cancellation fee will be 5% of reservation value. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before car collection are non-refundable.
4. Can I make changes, e.g. add services or an additional driver?
Yes, most extras can be added up to 72 hours before pick-up. Please contact us for details.
5. Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, this is possible before picking up the car. If this wasn't included in your reservation notes, please contact us with second driver details.
6. What is the cost of an additional driver?
The cost for each additional driver is 250 DKK for the entire rental period. This fee will be charged against the deposit.
7. How can I get my car registration number to book a ferry?
In most cases, the car's license plate number is known just before pickup. However, you can book a ferry using any imaginary number, such as XX001 etc., and update it after picking up the car but before boarding the ferry. Changing the registration number in the SSL system is possible up to one hour before boarding the ferry.
Before picking up the car
1. When will I receive the deposit authorization link?
An email with a deposit authorization link and a request for driver information (if not already provided) is sent a few days before arrival. At the latest, two days before arrival, if you haven't received the email by then, please contact us.
2. What will the car pickup process look like?
Once your deposit is authorized and you provide your driver details, you will receive detailed instructions for picking up and returning the car at the airport. Pickup and returning will be contactless, based on detailed instructions.
3. Where do I get the car keys and where will the car be waiting?
You'll collect your keys from the key box in the car rental building, and your rental car will be waiting directly in the airport parking lot. Details will be included in the email with instructions.
4. What should I do if my flight is delayed/arrives early or I want to pick up/return the car earlier or later?
In such a situation, please contact us in advance to confirm the availability of the car.
During the rental
1. Do I have to pay for parking at the airport?
No, parking during pick-up and drop-off is included in your rental. However, you cannot park at the airport at any other time without prior confirmation with us.
2. How to pay for toll undersea tunnels?
These fees will be deducted from your deposit, you don't have to do anything.
3. How to check what fuel to use in the car?
You'll find the fuel type after opening the fuel filler flap; it will have a symbol like E10 etc. Information about the fuel type is also included in the email with the car pickup instructions and in the Car Pickup Report attachment.
4. What if I receive a ticket for exceeding the parking time?
Send us a clear photo of the fine, we will pay it for you and the fine value will be settled from your deposit.
5. What to do in case of breakdown or damage/accident?
Please contact us as soon as possible on +298 919181. If necessary, contact the emergency number 112.
6. How much will I have to pay if my car is damaged?
If the repair exceeds 6000 DKK/2500 DKK, this amount will be the maximum amount payable for each damage separately if is more than one and they are not related.
Before returning the car
1. Should I clean the car before returning?
We will clean and wash the car before next rental, so normal/fair signs of use are acceptable. However, if the car is muddy, has sand, grass or other debris inside, you should clean it.
2. Where can I wash and clean the car?
Free vacuum cleaners are available at larger gas stations, and there are also car washes. Details can be found in the terms tab in section Pick up and return, point 12.
3. Should I fill up the car before returning?
Yes, if you didn't pay for the fuel service option when booking, you should fill up the car. Cars are fully fueled just before rental and should be returned with a full tank. It's important to fill up at one of the stations near the airport, in Midvagur or Sorvagur.
4. Where should I park the car when returning it?
You should park in the same spot you picked up from. If that spot is occupied, park in any other spot not marked with another company's logo. Once you've parked elsewhere, please let us know where the car is parked.
5. Where should I return the keys?
You return your keys to the same location where you picked them up. Below the small lockers is a large black key box with our logo and a hole on the left side. This is where you drop your keys. Please make sure you drop them into the box with our logo. Details can be found in the car return instructions, which were sent in the same email as the car pickup instructions.
After returning the car
1. When will I receive my deposit settlement?
Deposit statements are sent approximately 10 business days after the car is returned.
2. My deposit has been blocked by the bank, when will I receive my refund?
The deposit settlement is sent approximately 10 business days after the car is returned, at that time fees, e.g. for tunnel travel, are collected and the remaining amount should be released. On our part, the release takes place when the deposit settlement is sent, but the exact refund depends on your bank.
